STILE GALANTE was founded in Spring 2010, and specialises in Galant (late baroque) Italian music. The first topic of our work is the enormous legacy of italian chamber cantatas for solo voice. Composed of well known baroque singers (such as Emanuela Galli, Marina De Liso, Francesca Cassinari, Fulvio Bettini) and talented young European instrumentalists, Stile Galante is directed by Stefano Aresi. In 2011 we published for Pan Classics our first CD, Passio (works by Porpora and anon.) and in 2012 we started our cantata recording serie with Fileno, soprano cantatas (works by Leonardo Vinci and Alessandro Scarlatti), followed by Aminta, pastoral cantatas (works by Porpora), and Tirsi, soprano cantata (works by Jommelli and Durante). In 2013 we recorded a collection of arias from operas, serenatas, and oratorios, by Leonardo Vinci and we are going to record a CD dedicated to the famous castrato Luigi Marchesi with Ann Hallenberg.
