Home cooked, Street Food, Meals, Snacks and drinks, I would like to show you how it's really made, prepared and cooked.
I have cooked in European, Indian and Chinese restaurants and takeaways. My Love for Asian food started here.
Arriving in Thailand 18 years ago. I immediately fell in love with the place, people, culture, the country, and most of all, the delicious food.
Started a business with my wife - Curry-Nights making British Indian Restaurant ready meals, and personally cooking 400 meals a day we supplied all leading supermarkets throughout Thailand and into Laos.
A lover of street food, home-cooked food, and good laughs, I believe that there are undeniable bonds and friendships in cooking with other cultures.
I will leave the ooooh's, arrrrrgh's, wow's, and face-pulling to those who do it best to show you how it's really made.... from a backyard chef
Hope to see you on the channel – Please subscribe, and let us take the foodie journey together - Rik

Tonight's video upload is an Epic fail. As you know, on this channel, you see exactly what I see when I cook. This is a traditional 19th-century British chocolate pudding, which did not go as planned.

OK, everyone—here is some news that will benefit some and not others. I have created a private Facebook group, Backyard Chef's Casual Kitchen. You are all invited to join. It is brand new, and it's the usual: YOU HAVE TO ANSWER THREE QUESTIONS TO BE ACCEPTED.

I'm sure that it will have its teething issues at the start. It is the only way I can think of to help others post and send pictures of what they have made.
Hope to see you all there! Edited bit: YOU HAVE TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS AND AGREE TO THE RULES. If you disagree, do not apply! This is a PRIVATE group where we are all friends.

NOT ALL GO UNOTICED!!!
Hi, Everyone; just a quick one! Recently, there have been many copyright issues regarding content from my channel. Some are just copies of my recipes on other channels – not a problem if someone puts the work in to reproduce a recipe of techniques I have shown here. However, A shout-out back to the channel would be great! The channels I will not name and shame yet have copied quite a lot of content from Backyard Chef – They have even subscribed to this channel. They are Homestyle cooking channels in the U.K. Crazy! I post a recipe, and the same recipe appears on another channel a week or so later, using the same techniques. Further, folks are ripping off the recipes here, using them on other platforms and groups, and even using my images and claiming them to be theirs. I would appreciate it if anyone could use their images to avoid a copyright issue. Could you please give credit where credit is due? I.E. Backyard Chef. I have earned over 40 years of professional cooking experience. I'm not one of these wannabe folks who want their 5 mins of fame to boost their channels. I give freely to help others. Thank you. Best, Rik

Hi Everyone
All those that follow my channel. I uploaded making bread in the 24l HYSapientia Air fryer a week ago. I have changed the way I cook the bread. The recipe is exactly the same so you can grab that from the channel follow the link. I baked these at 160 degrees right up to the last 5 mins as per the video. I have made 24 loaves after the video. Baked 2 loaves a time in 2lb loaf tins side by side – baked on the bottom shelf.
