Began Sprinting and drag-racing in 1964. Third quickest in Europe in 1968 on home-built double-engined Triumph 'Two Faced'. 10.21 sec et for s.s. 1/4 mile with a best terminal of 140.8mph in the quarter. Held Topcliffe outright course record for 4 years. Was secretary of National Sprint Association from 1980 to 1989. Introduced junior classes circa 1979 when sec of northern section. Recovered from a heart attack in 1998. Currently running a Hayabusa drag bike but did some top speed runs recently at Elvington with a best of 196.6mph at age 71 and currently in remission from cancer.
