The aim of the project is to enhance cultural knowledge for African Language students. It also entails erasing the perception or stigmatization that people have of the African continent. People from outside Africa tend to have a fixed perception about the continent and it's people. Some think that people from Africa have a lingua franca and some think of Africa as a country while it is a continent with 53 countries and more than a thousand different languages. This project will explore the diversity of African cultures and draw comparisons between the Eastern and Southern part of Africa, specifically Tanzania and South Africa.
