READING MYANMAR: A series of lessons designed to help English speakers learn how to read the Myanmar language. Beginning with learning the alphabet and tones, the many vowels and vowel combinations are covered in individual lessons. Special symbols, stacked consonants and the weakening mechanism is included. The lessons are put together by an English learner who approaches the goal of reading using a direct approach with little attention given to the proper names of symbols or letters. It is a method that has been successfully used with several English learners.
