theerion - adj. (THEE-ree-yon): Greek word for "wild man." My grandfather used to call me this when I was a kid.
Just a regular guy, here. Grateful Dead and Phish enthusiast, I travelled extensively in my old VW bus to see numerous Phish shows but very, very sadly never got to see Jerry with the Grateful Dead.
In August of 2006 I bought my first electric guitar, and haven't been able to stop playing since. I started taking lessons 7 months ago from a stellar blues guitarist who toured with Freddie King. I'm very lucky to have him.
The guitar has brought more joy to my life than I could've imagined, and I've been changed in a fundamental way by all of this, best typified by a line in "Eyes of the World."
"Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own."
Very big thumbs up to JDarks for his Grateful Dead videos and excellent and educational videos. Definately check out his channel for a look at who's teaching me through Youtube.
