The videos on my channel are devoted primarily to musicians who helped popularize the harpsichord during the LP era. Nearly all the performers represented were prolific recording artists whose work received widespread distribution around the world. This was due in part to the "baroque craze" that swept the classical record industry during the 1950s and 60s.

With few exceptions, the harpsichords heard here are "revival" or "serien" instruments by the famous (some would say infamous) European firms of Ammer, Neupert, Sperrhake, Sassmann and Pleyel. For better or worse, these instruments introduced many LP collectors to the sound of the harpsichord.

I've tried to choose recordings that are not overly familiar - ones which (I believe) preserve performances that receptive listeners today will still find rewarding.
