Lothlorien
Lothlórien is a Celtic music group taking its name from the magical forest found in Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings', and one of the tracks from Enya's 'Shepherd Moons' album..
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the group plays Celtic music mainly from Ireland, Scotland and England.
Lothlórien plays both traditional folk and contemporary songs and tunes, from ethereal and haunting (in the style of Clannad and Loreena McKennitt) to jaunty and lively (traditional jigs and reels), including some original compositions.
Amongst our influences - Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, Connie Dover, Capercaillie, Dervish, Deanta, Altan, Solas and many others....
