LA GORDA DUBS...DUB PRODUCTIONS FROM BERLIN...
La Gorda Dubs is a Berlin based musician and producer, that is out to put the rootsy vibe back into modern productions, blending influences of dub, cumbia, bass music and hiphop into his very own style of reggaetronics.
During his participance in iLLBiLLY HiTEC he toured the world and played all major festivals in Europe and beyond. He collaborated with artists like Cecile, Brother Culture, Zion Train, Dubmatix, SEEED, Dactah Chando, Rob Smith, La Fanfare En Petard, JStar, Lengualerta, No Te Va Gustar, Karamelo Santo, Promoe (Looptroop) and many more…
Now Alex teamed up the Japanese singer Yugo Taguchi, who is currently living in Berlin. Together they started to explore the combination of cumbia and reggae elements into the new genre of cumbia dub. These songs will be produced in a collaboration with Japanese and Latin American artists. The release of a first five track EP is planed for this winter. So stay tuned...
