A mainly Anglo-American folk singer, multi-instrumentalist, proper proletarian and unrepentant glutton. Most lyrical content and traditions are taken from the Scots-English and North American folk repertoire of 20th century purists and working-class representants, as well as sung in their typical and traditional acapella or otherwise unpolished, rugged delivery. Much of the material also hails from East Anglia and south England (as well as its noted folk singers and collectors which may deviate just a slight) in general, from which Lemons' paternal ancestry most intriguingly predominates - not particularly determining in the choice of sung material though enigmatically acknowledged. Drinking songs, murder ballads, love laments, sea shanties, traditional dances, religious serenades and odes to old poetry may all be found in the expansive and constant material manifest of marvelous music that catches my fancy.
