Bora Yoon is a Korean-American composer, vocalist, and pioneering sound artist who explores the connection of sound to the subliminal. Dubbed the "sonic surrealist" by The Wall Street Journal, she creates architectural soundscapes using found objects from different cultures and centuries, chamber instruments, digital devices, and voice.
Her work is immersive and experiential, captivating her audiences using spaces with an interesting history or architecture and the energy they possess; multimedia; and visceral connections to the sounds she activates in her performance.
