Laura Watson
My name is Laura, and I am a botanical artist from Vancouver Island, Canada. My love for plants started at an early age and continues to influence my watercolour botanical art, nature journaling and teaching today. I have a diploma with distinction in Botanical Painting from the London Art College and a diploma from the U.K. Society of Botanical Artists.
My work mostly focuses on nature journaling, sharing my ongoing Country Diary, Nature Journal and Field Notes which document plants each month of the year through detailed watercolour and ink illustrations, notes, writings, and diagrams.
My passion for botany has led me to participate in rare plant surveys alongside published authors and scientists throughout British Columbia. I have studied the diverse flora and fauna of northern, interior, and coastal BC, exploring unique ecosystems.
