Here are tube amplifiers & amp simulators that I have reviewed over a number of years. Guitar amplifiers reviewed and examined very closely in unprecedented review styles. Inside and out of the worlds best tube amps and modelers and simulators often including playing of course.
These guitar amps are nearly all originally bought by Tony McKenzie the reviewer and you will see these amplifiers close up and presented in ways that others never do (or could).
There is a lot to any guitar amp whether it costs just a few hundred dollars or whether it costs thousands, and the scary thing is, it can be so easy to buy any amp based on it's 'reputation' that is often flouted or hyped by some makers out there. But it's a fact that there are some incredibly good guitar amplifiers that really are incredible, and it's not always the ones with the highest prices as you will find when you watch these close up reviews.
These reviews have been accumulating since about 2009, but the amps in some cases are older, and also shown are some of the worlds newest makers equipment like those amps from Mezzabarba for example that are light years ahead of other makers. But other included reviews include small amps like the Marshall Studio series amplifiers operating at just 20 watts, along with PRS MT15 that offers much for the metal guitarist on a budget.
But make no mistake, if there are amps that are brilliant, that is clearly shown in these reviews, and exactly why that is the case, but a bad amp? Yes those are included along with the reasons why they are deemed to be poor.
And after the inside and out of these amps, there's plenty of discussion on manuals, warranty, pricing, other features and lastly the amps are generally played both in backing tracks and individually without effects and as they really sound.
The simulators and modelers are really here to show what they are about, and whether you prefer tube amplifiers (I do) or these modern simulators does not matter - step back and check any device out because they are all shown in ways that sponsored reviews never are... simply truthful overviews. And they could save you from making a big mistake!
