GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A pump is a machine that applies energy to a fluid in order to move fluid from one place to another. Pumps are divided into two categories, based on their operating principles:
DYNAMIC or CENTRIFUGAL
The dynamic pump produces a head and a flow by increasing the velocity of the liquid through the machine with the help of a rotating vane impeller.
DISPLACEMENT or POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT
The positive displacement pump operates by alternating of filling a cavity and then displacing a given volume of liquid.
