L3-G0 is maybe the world's first full size, real life working Lego brick R2-D2.

We saw life size Artoos at the 2012 Emerald City Comiccon (ECCC) and thought they were pretty cool, but you'd have to be crazy to build one. A bit later we couldn't figure out what to do for our next Lego project. We avoided the inescapable conclusion for a couple months, but eventually we realized we needed to do both and build a Lego droid! (And somehow we thought the other guys were crazy).

L3-G0 has appeared at Emerald City Comicon, and Star Wars Day, and even checked out the Lego store at the mall.
