Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra

Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra, based in Norway, founded by Joakim Borgen and Rebekka Nilsson, as they were inspired by the music of Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski while watching the Belgian film The Broken Circle Breakdown. Captivated by the bluegrass soundtrack, they decided to gather a group of friends to play the songs from the film. After only a few weeks of rehearsing, the newly formed Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra recorded a version of "Wayfaring Stranger" in the fiddle player’s living room.

In 2021, the band released their debut full-length album Migrants, which was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy and debuted at #4 on the Billboard Charts. The album showcases Hayde’s signature blend of rich vocal harmonies and engaging melodies, whether in their energetic, up-tempo songs or poignant ballads. Drawing on the folk music traditions of the Appalachian Mountains, the band's sound is enhanced by Celtic and Norwegian fiddle tunes, brought to life by the eight-piece acoustic ensemble.
