Our family has 9 decades of cooking experience, which began with our great-grandfather Mohammed Rashid in the 1930s – cooking at community events in a tiny village in North-East Pakistan. His food became legendary and was influenced by traditional Pakistani dishes such as Biriani, Jhelum and Handi.
Our grandfather Mirza Rashid moved the business to Nakodar and set up a bustling local restaurant. In 1969, our father Mohammad Rashid brought our family passion to the UK. in 2001, we took over the business and transformed it into The Balti House, an award-winning restaurant in Rishton.
