Here at THG, we aren't about making life difficult for anyone (unless they violate ethical business practices), and we don't have a problem with others being on YouTube in our lane. Dozens of creators have joined our efforts over the years, and we've praised many of them. That said, currently Ray and Zakk (from Car Edge) are responding online to a comment we made about the possibility of them being on the take with Car Dealers, and double-dipping with "car deals" they bring to those dealerships. How else could they only save a customer $999 with a $999 car buying service? Something doesn't add up! After 40 years of experience, do they STILL just really suck at negotiating? They have denied our criticisms, saying (paraphrased) "We don't receive a penny from dealers." Interesting... Because about the time we had a dealer tell us they wanted money from him on top of charging the customer for a referral (and then getting turned down flat), we went on the hunt for more evidence to substantiate this claim. We didn't have to look very far. Right on the CarEdge website we found a pledge they were making to dealers reading "Better Margins: with CarEdge, you'll increase net profit while decreasing operating expenses while improving customer satisfaction." This statement paints a pretty cozy relationship with dealers, doesn't it? Of course it does. It plainly says to dealers "We'll make sure that you win with referrals from us!" It doesn't add up. They have since taken the statement off of their website, but we knew they would if we called them out on it, so we took a screen shot (when we found it) to preserve the evidence. There's no doubt it's from their own website. If this observation is not true, why was this statement there in the first place, and why is it now suddenly gone? For the last 15 years, it's been our mission to call out these kinds of ethical issues in the car business, even if it involves another content creator, whose business model and click-bait antics is quite consistent with someone who still lives and breathes a dealer mentality. Sorry if us saying this offends you, but YOU look at the post we found on THEIR site, and YOU draw your own conclusion. Ray, Zakk, feel free to explain this clear conflict of interest!

Because with the junk they sell there's a really good chance if you buy a vehicle from them that you'll be needing towing, sometimes within 10 minutes of purchase. how convenient, huh? They sell TOTAL junk cars. This dealer has hundreds of ND civil court cases against their customers, preying upon the elderly, the down-trodden, and those having financial difficulties.
