On a side-note, I am so chuffed with using surface maps to see and project how water will flow over and around the landscape, that I might just do the next video about that. Have a bit more research and work to do, and then I will get cracking on it.

Hello everyone.
The channel's been a little quiet for a few days. I have been keeping my Patreon friends up to date, but forgot to post here, as well. It's deep into spring here, and we are still getting cold fronts accompanied by severe weather warnings. Our latest low-cut-off system resulted in serious flooding everywhere in the western cape. We had 80mm on the farm, and 180mm upstream. Our public and private roads took a beating, but the constant permaculture design and adaptation means that the weather didn't affect us too much. We slowed, spread and sunk a lot more water than usual.
There's some cool stuff coming soon, in terms of construction and new housing. I am also releasing a video about the dam and new spillway soon. Everything held up pretty well.

It has been two weeks since the last video. Apologies. This is not how I like to get content out to you.
Our life and system sometimes get to bottlenecks where we have to put in a lot of work and time to push through. The animals, new infrastructure, building a regenerative plan and trying to keep up with other personal admin thing just made me late with this video. I will have it out soon, and I am going to start editing today. The Patreon members will get it ad-free first, but it will be here in a week or so.
Thanks for your patience. Use this time to build your simple, natural system up even more!

THANK YOU to all the viewers, and especially commenters on my videos. It's fantastic being able to collaborate and chat to everyone from every country in the world. So much ideas and advice that I get, as well.
I am working on the next video today, and hope to get it done. There's so much work to make the homestead/land stay afloat, that it sometimes crosses into video producing boundaries.

As much as I wanted to work on this video today, I have to fix our road first.
If all goes well, I can start editing on the new episode tomorrow. For members, here's a piece I shared with the Patreon members, as well. It seems that this "test weir" could yield enough water harvesting to solve many of our food growing and self-sufficiency dependencies.
Well, this will go into the next episode, in full.
