DID YOU KNOW That the Maldives' Green Tax / Tourism Tax increased 100% starting the 01st of January this year?

The Green Tax increases from US$ 6.00 per guest, per night to US$ 12.00 per guest, per night, effective 01 January 2025.



However, these changes will not affect infants or Children under 02 years old. If in the previous years' infants (0-1.99 yrs) were included in the Green Tax compulsory. Starting this year (2025) Children under two years old will be exempt from the tax.

The Raja Ampat Islands are an Indonesian archipelago off the northwest tip of Bird’s Head Peninsula in West Papua. Raja Ampat is known for its beaches and coral reefs rich with marine life. [CORAL FRAME UPDATE #214]

Hi all, been out of YT and editing for a while- not feeling it lately.
My last videos kind of sucks- so I was not really in a good vibe.

Anyway, 4 days ago we got an update from our Marine Biologist Team from Diamonds Thudufushi about our Coral Frame.

Quoting the news:

Earlier this year, NOAA announced the 4th global bleaching event affecting coral reefs around the world. Places like the Caribbean and Australia were already seeing coral bleaching last year, and water temperatures here in the Maldives started exceeding 30°C from April onwards. While temperatures are still higher than usual, we are now seeing that the water is slowly cooling down again.

For now, we can say that Thudufushi reef has seen some bleaching, but the damage is not as severe as in previous bleaching events. Especially the southern side, which had high coral cover to begin with, has seen only limited mortality and bleached corals are currently recovering. Unfortunately, the shallow areas on the reef flat/lagoon side have been the most impacted as water temperatures exceeded 32°C and sunlight is strongest in the shallow water. Therefore, we have been moving and circulating the coral frames under the overwater restaurant to give them additional shade and protection.

Sadly, and despite our best efforts, we had significant mortality on the coral frames. We noticed a general trend that “older” frames had higher survival than the ones that just started to grow. On the bright side, some of the corals on the frames showed high resilience to these extreme environmental conditions and they will be the founding individuals of our continued restoration efforts. We have attached some images of your frame to this email.


We have now completed the “damage assessment” on all coral frames and need to give the surviving corals a bit of time to recover. At the moment, water temperatures are still too high to resume restoration activities, it will need some more time. Once conditions have improved, we will restock the corals that did not make it on your frame. With almost 300 frames in the water this will take a little while, so we kindly ask for your patience and support. You will not lose out on the two-year update timeline, as we will ensure to send you the full number of updates, even if the two years since you planted your frame have already passed.


In summary, our dedicated marine team will be working diligently to restore what was lost and continue to fight for every coral. But the climate crisis requires everyone's willingness to act before it is too late. Spreading the word about the effect of the rising temperatures on our coral reefs and continued support of projects like this make a huge difference on an individual level. We envision a future with coral reefs and their magnificent marine life that can be experienced by immersing yourself into the blue ocean and not just by studying history books, and we know that you are part of this vision! So, thank you for your continued support and we will keep you updated on your coral frame as soon as it is fully back to life.

then came Itadori Yuji / Sukuna (gotta buy Sukuna figure next)

Recently, I've been crying a lot over Kimetsu No Yaiba, and I really want to have their figurines. I am really sad for all Hashiras, especially Muichiro, Obanai & Mitsuri. 🥹😭

I hope it will arrive soon (I bought it online).
