Betty Boop was created by Grim Natwick in 1930 and is an imitation of an imitation. Clara Bow the "It" Girl was one of the many inspirations behind the development of Betty Boop according to Paramount-Publix. Mae Questel brought Betty Boop to life way back in 1931 and is the "definitive" voice of Betty Boop. Questel the "QUEEN of BOOP" later reprised her role in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" in 1988. Though Betty lives on today, classic Betty Boop is #1!
