Step into the sandals of a Roman soldier and experience a day of history and adventure along the B6318, the modern-day Military Road that shadows the legendary Hadrian's Wall.

This week, we venture inland to Northumberland National Park having completed all our videos along the coast during our week's trip. We spend a night in a cosy Country Inn, before visiting the cute village of Falstone and a few viewpoints at Kielder Water. The largest man-made reservoir in Northern Europe.
The main event is our day spent exploring Roman forts and walking along a stretch of Hadrian's Wall.
It was a wonderful day getting in some steps and walking amongst the 2000 year old remains of Roman Britain.
Even if you are not that interested in that sort of history, the views are stunning and it's worth the trip.

Why there is no video this week?
Dear All, many of you may recall at the end of last year, we had to pull back on our videos for a while and make them every other week due to a sick family member, which meant we could not meet a weekly timeline.

Whilst we have adapted to this situation and returned to weekly we have had to continue to support our family. These last few weeks have been difficult and sadly we lost a family member so are unable to concentrate on the videos for a while.

We were a few weeks ahead and so the recent ones in our series have gone out. Alnwick is a long complicated video and it's just not ready to go out this weekend. We need to spend time with our family and then catch up with our editing. The next few weeks might be hit or miss on whether can get a video out weekly.
I am sure you will understand this situation, and be happy to wait until we can return to our normal schedule.

Thank you all for your understanding at this difficult time.
Regards,

Will and Simon
