Maurizio Decollanz

I was born in Bari during one of the worst cholera epidemics ever to affect the Apulian main city. It was June 6, 1973. My family moved to the hills, to the Murge, to escape the contagions. To those headlands between Puglia and Lucania I remain very devoted.

Milanese by adoption, married, father of two wonderful boys. Journalist, technologist, 5.0 communicator.

At the age of 12, I was already writing for my school newspaper. I had already decided that journalism would be my life. A few years later I discovered, in the bookstore of my father, Giuseppe Decollanz, "L'affaire Moro" by Leonardo Sciascia. That reading changed my life.
