Miss Texas Pole Star was founded in a coffee shop in Dallas Texas almost 5 years ago at the request of one of the local pole dance instructors in the area. In addition to being the 1st pole competitions in the South it has grown to be one of the largest pole fitness competitions in the country and has earned a reputation for it's fair and non-biased practices. The Miss Texas Pole Star Organization works diligently all year to encourage and guide women across the state to take part in this annual event. In 2012 they added the first Silks competition in the country and have both Amateur and Professional Categories. The Miss Texas Pole Star Organization hopes that they can be part of setting the standards for other competitions that will be used to garner support for not only their competitors but for all the aerial arts community.
