Ikadub
Founded in 2015 by Jonathan and Clément, beatmaker and bassist respectively, IKADUB refuses to confine itself to one style and continues its exploration of the different univers of dub. Fascinated by the multiple currents of reggae, the duo reuses the codes to mix them with more hip-hop beats and the more digital sounds of dub. The result is a fine blend of dancing dub. In recent years, his productions have come closer and closer to the digital Jamaican sounds of the 80s and UK stepper sounds of the 90s. Co-founder of the BAT Records label alongside Dub Shepherds, IKADUB also find the inspiration across recording sessions at the label's studio in Auvergne. A result to be discovered on stage in a live mix with two or three with a singer. The result is uncompromising, hard-hitting and hard to get your head straight.
