Where visibility and engagement determine its value, the DJ's presence is perpetuated through mediation: a circulative gesture within an economy of circulation. As commodity, it defers authenticity and distorts labor. Reproducibility becomes the condition of possibility and the promise of presence is deferred.
Here, content enables and constrains in equal measure. Engagement isn't participation but an act of becoming the content itself. What remains is a form, hollowed by its own perpetuation, circulating.
