I'm Dr. Ziri Younsi, an astrophysicist at University College London. I'm passionate about Physics, especially black holes, gravity, and our Universe. My channel is educational and I love making videos from the calculations I perform in my day-to-day work.

My core area of research is black holes, in particular observing them and trying to understand their fundamental nature and relationship with space and time. I'm especially interested in what they look like, and work in collaborations like the Event Horizon Telescope to obtain images of the matter surrounding their event horizons.

I write and utilise my own supercomputer codes to calculate the physically accurate behaviour of radiation (light) and matter around black holes, using these to produce videos like those shown in my channel. All my channel content is entirely original and produced directly as a result of my own research.
