They both look nice, but the second one has a slightly harder to read text issue. It's ultra minor but the orange-on-black text color is a tiny bit harder to see in darker backgrounds.

imo the black hole fits the context of the video better given the location of maia (pleiades), also it looks more menacing

Ok, definitely in Taygeta, I saw the thumbnail and immediately pressed it thinking there was a new video. I didn't even see the image in Maia

Taygeta simply because as a thumbnail it's easier to read by a mile.
