This summer, Katy Elizabeth has tried on three separate occasions to do a stint of research into the mysterious creatures that lurk in the deaths of Lake Champlain. and again and again she was swatted, by problems with her boat, by adverse weather conditions, and by all sorts of other things that we shall not go into here. But, eventually she managed to get out on the lake, and her persistence was rewarded with some astounding recordings of what appeared to be echolocation noise presumably produced by the creature itself. At least that’s what she thinks, what we think, and what a professional marine biologist from Australia thinks as well. Even Ian Squibbs is impressed.
