What framerate do you prefer while watching YouTube videos?

@LiveeviL6969

It all depends on the content. Anything fast moving or a lot of panning requires higher FPS. Nothing worse than a quick pan that's all choppy and blurry from a low frame rate. If it's still image or low movement, the lower frame rates help with quicker loading times.

@yasunakaikumi

You don't have to shoot it at 60 since you aren't really doing anything that requires those frame rate unless you have contents that need to be at 60,bother than that you're fine, most of those who voted 60fps doesnt even realized they're just wasting bandwidth

@ajaikumars6948

I've been watching your videos for more than 3 yrs and I don't know what frame rate I watch them at. All I care for is FHD resolution.

@jaxjackson4100

I am not picky. So any framerate between 30 and 50.000 should work for me. Thank you for asking.

@epsi9923

It definitely depends on the type of video here. If it's an animation, the standard 24 is totally fine. For something like music theory, music (which doesn't really need video) it doesn't even matter, but for competitive gaming or high-speed video it just makes more sense to have it at 60FPS for clarity's sake.

@RandomNoob

For most I would say resolution is more important, for this type of content 30 or 60 makes little difference.

For gaming, 60fps yes. For video 30fps is fine. The amount of data usage to watch 60fps video is unjustifiable. Even with webm encoding.

@ChrisB...

I'll usually choose 30fps/1080p over 60fps/4k given the choice because it saves bandwidth and energy.

@bekone

Your channel doesn't need high fps to be honest but it's always a plus.

@ethzero

Need a "Not bothered" option ;)

@chrislambe400

I prefer 4K even though I don't have a 4K screen. Downsampled to FHD looks much crisper than FHD source material.

Where's the "I don't care" option

@vinylcabasse

i watch a lot of videos at 1.5-2x on machines that aren’t brand new. they choke at 4k/60 (they are both running 4k/30fps out and have no problem showing 4k video at that framerate but skip frames if 60fps)

@rubabmubarrat

I like cinematic so 24FPS to 30FPS is enough for me. For an Electronics youtuber and teacher, I think it is standard. So don’t worry about frame rate. Keep doing what you are doing right now.

@ledoynier3694

for your type of content with table shots, schematics etc, low framerate would be perfectly fine.

@exmodeus

I don't know about the actual framerate, but I usually go for 480p in general (I think it's 30?). 240p when I listen to music only on YT Vanced. It really helps save my battery and data.

@mistaecco

I'm in the extreme minority here, but I want my existence to be known: I cannot tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps unless it's a synthetic side by side test. Additionally, anything above 60 gives me motion sickness. I use a gaming monitor for response time, but I have it capped to 60fps at all times. I've been called all manner of names for this, but I can only imagine it's something to do with my eyes or something like that.

@Calthecool

I watch at 480p 30fps so won’t even notice if the frame rate or quality is higher.

@lbgstzockt8493

I prefer 60fps for gaming content, but anything else is perfectly fine at 30fps. It also saves bandwidth.

@lordozi3113

1080 30fps is fine, I don't really have the bandwidth for more plus there is nothing in the video that needs it to be incredibly smooth
