really hate the push to try to remove artists from art. This whole AI thing is taking people that would otherwise learn how to make things themselves and just giving them a mediocre curiosity-satiator EDIT: THIS COMMENT IS ANTI AI. I AM SAYING IT IS BAD. For anyone saying ghost "has too many rules" "is controlling" "wont let us be a fandom": Ghost is a human, with feelings, with their own issues. If someone is uncomfortable with something respect that. This fandom has done some pretty terrible things to them and theyre probably very stressed. I personally think its horrible to take vent song characters and turn them into AI to do god knows what. I think the reason they say they dont want it is because people will do violent/s3xùal/just weird things to the chatbots. If I made a vent i wouldnt want people making out with a robot of it. So please respect ghost's boundaries. Theyre trying the best they can and their fanbase keeps making them uncomfy sometimes.

IM GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO'S UNCOMFORTABLE WITH IT!! I've got a lot of OCs myself and have had multiple strangers showing off character.ai bots with them and it's just so dreadfully uncomfortable, so I can definitely empathize!! Some people just don't seem to realize that independent creators and their creations/characters work so much differently than industry ones and that we have boundaries and comforts that need to be respected. sorry you have to be dealing with this kind of stuff </3

Hi! A few months ago, I made a Tamari chatbot that became slightly popular. Please, don't use it. The website keeps telling me that I can't edit the bot if a high traffic of users is interacting with it. Therefore, I'm unable to delete it for now. Report it if you're able to, please. I want it gone as soon as possible. I'm deeply ashamed of it, I was totally unaware of how much it would affect the art community to keep feeding the AI and engaging with it. As an artist and writer myself, I found out about the impact it was having considerably late. I now know about it, though, and I will do my best to delete everything I've created on Character AI. I was also clueless about how other people were planning to interact with the bot, believing I was doing something just silly and harmless. I now realize the impact it's all having, and I thank you very much for making this post, because many of us needed to hear something like this to realize what we were actually contributing to. I'm very sorry, GHOST. I really do love and respect your content, and it wasn't my intention to do anything to harm you or make you (or anyone) feel uncomfortable. EDIT: I managed to delete my account, along with all of its content. No more AI! Yay!

As someone who’s been brainstorming a project with their ocs I really feel you, I’ve been absolutely terrified to talk about my characters outside of a private setting since once I unleash them on the world I cannot take them back. I’ve had multiple talks with my friends about my fear for some of my characters to get into the public eye, and seeing how absolutely vile the chatbots act good god. Quick question: One of your songs, Solaria / Aura, fits perfectly with an OC of mine. I seem to remember seeing you saw somewhere you don’t want your songs reposted. So I considered the song off-limits for making an animatic out of it. I see in another reply that you are cool with animatics of your songs but I just want to ask to double check. I've searched up mostly qa characters to chat with for shits and giggles, I'm really sorry about this. adding on: I feel really bad about it now, your ocs that are actually ocs aren't just silly characters but pretty much people with real problems and disabilities and they deserve to be taken more seriously..

I looked for Tamari on the app and was sad to see how many are still up and how many chats some of them have. I personally use Cai, mostly for RPs and laughs, but I'm a firm believer that no creator should have AI's made of their character if that's against their wishes or makes them uncomfortable for any reason, especially when the characters are as personal as they are. I'm not involved with chatbots, but wishing you well with taking them down! This gives me the same vibes as people writing fanfics of real people and having one member of a band be like. A kidnapper or smth. I'm generally all for freedom in fandom but this seriously borderlines on unethical imo

Completely understand. I don’t want people to do sexual things to my characters (unless I give permission.) there’s an AI chat thing called chai where the creator of the bot can read chats. I’ve made my oc on there for fun to see what people would do. And I saw things I didn’t want to see considering I was younger and sensitive at the time. So I understand that.
